Audi RS6 / RS7 C8 valved exhaust systems

For the Audi RS6 Avant and RS7 Sportback (C8) with the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 we supply a titanium valved cat-back with integrated H-pipe, optionally with free flow front pipes or 400-cell catalytic converters, and 400-cell catted downpipes. Everything ships directly from the Valvetronic Designs factory in Boyertown, Pennsylvania.

Titanium valved cat-back

The factory exhaust keeps the 4.0T V8 very quiet. The full titanium cat-back changes that: valves open, a full V8 with strong midrange and a sharper top-end howl, valves closed, composed like a grand tourer, and no drone in either position. The large-diameter H-pipe merges the pulses of both banks and lowers back pressure. The system is 27.9 kg lighter than the factory exhaust, hand TIG welded and finished in burnt titanium. Valve simulators are recommended on this platform, because the car monitors the factory valve motors. They are not included and are ordered separately.

Front pipes and catalytic converters

The cat-back is available on its own, with free flow race front pipes, or with front pipes and 400-cell catalytic converters. The free flow bypass pipes take the volume to its maximum and delete the catalytic converters. The 400-cell version keeps them.

Catted downpipes

The EPA-compliant downpipes with 400-cell high-flow catalytic converters lower back pressure, help the turbos spool faster and give a deeper tone with more turbo sound. The sensors sit in the OEM positions and the set bolts to the factory mounting points. They come with a break-in procedure, which is also your warranty document.

Frequently asked questions

Are the catalytic converters retained?
That depends on the version. The free flow bypass pipes delete the catalytic converters, the 400-cell version keeps them. The catted downpipes have EPA-compliant 400-cell catalytic converters.
Do I need valve simulators?
They are recommended. The car monitors the factory valve motors, and without simulators you can get a check engine light. They are not included and must be ordered separately.
Can I go back to stock later?
Yes. The cat-back replaces the factory one directly and can be fully returned to stock later.
What comes with the cat-back?
The complete titanium valved cat-back, the integrated H-pipe, fast-acting electronic valves and all clamps and mounting hardware.
