Equal-length valved system

The stock S55 sound is tinny and shrill. The cat-back system has a 2.75-inch equal-length mid-section with H-pipe flowing into a 3.5-inch axle-back with four-chamber muffler, for a smoother, fuller tone across the rev range. With the valves open, the gases exit straight through the passenger-side tips; closed, they pass through the muffler and the driver-side tips, with volume and tone close to stock. You choose between T304 stainless steel (9.5 kg lighter than stock) or Grade 5 titanium (21.5 kg lighter), and from several tip finishes. It also fits the M2 CS.

Downpipes

The catted downpipes with 400-cell EPA-compliant catalytic converters let the S55 breathe more freely, with faster turbo spool and more turbo sound, while keeping the catalytic converters. The sensors stay in the factory positions. They come with a break-in procedure, which is also your warranty document. Note: on race or free-flow downpipes a rasp around 2,000 rpm can be heard when shifting at low rpm; for the most refined tone we recommend 200-cell high-flow catalytic converters.

Chassis brace

An exhaust with larger tubing needs the extended chassis brace. It replaces the original brace and bolts to the factory mounting points.

Frequently asked questions

Does this fit the M2 CS?

The valved exhaust system fits the M2 Competition and the M2 CS (F87). The downpipes and chassis brace list the F87C. If you have a CS, e-mail us your chassis number and we will check it.

Do the valves work with the factory controls?

An electronic valve controller with remote is included. Integration with the factory (OEM) valve control is optional.

Are the catalytic converters retained?

Yes, the downpipes have EPA-compliant 400-cell catalytic converters.

Can I go back to stock later?

Yes. The exhaust system uses the factory mounting points with no permanent modifications, and returning to stock is always possible.
