Which system suits your G8X?

There are two routes for the sound. The equal-length system is a 3.5-inch midpipe with a valved axle-back: civilised enough for every day with the valves closed, aggressive with them open. The HFD midpipe (High Frequency Development) aims at tone quality rather than volume: a smoother, more exotic straight-six sound without low-rpm rasp. The HFD is available to pre-order only.

Downpipes

The 400-cell catted downpipes lower back pressure and bring more turbo sound while keeping the catalytic converters. They also fit the M2 G87. They come with a break-in procedure, which is also your warranty document. Use a new 70 mm S58 flange gasket when fitting downpipes.

Chassis brace

An exhaust with larger-diameter tubing needs the extended chassis brace. It fits the G80, G81, G82 and G83, not the G87.

Frequently asked questions

Does this fit the M3 Touring (G81)?

The extended chassis brace also fits the G81. The exhaust systems list only the G80, G82 and G83. If you have a Touring, e-mail us your chassis number and we will check it.

Can I go back to stock later?

Yes. The systems use the factory mounting points and can be returned to stock. If you fit only the midpipe or only the axle-back, the original rear section is cut.

Do the valves work with the factory controls?

A separate valve controller is included. Control through the car's factory valve system is also possible.

Do parts from an older Valvetronic system fit?

No. Parts from V1 and V2 systems do not fit a V3 system.
