Ferrari F8 Tributo / Spider valved exhaust systems

For the Ferrari F8 Tributo and F8 Spider with the 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 we supply the titanium valved cat-back with X-pipe, race free flow front pipes and downpipes with 400-cell catalytic converters or as free flow race pipes. Everything ships directly from the Valvetronic Designs factory in Boyertown, Pennsylvania.

Titanium valved cat-back

The valved rear section with X-pipe is made of grade 5 titanium with a blue burnt finish and, in the titanium version, is 3.0 kg lighter than the original exhaust. With the valves open the turbo whistle comes through more strongly and the V8 sounds full and aggressive. Closed, the flow runs through a compact resonated bypass for a subdued volume on cold starts and in town. The vacuum valves are operated with the included controller, with factory-like behaviour.

Versions and downpipes

You choose the cat-back only, the cat-back with race free flow front pipes, or the cat-back with downpipes with 400-cell high-flow catalytic converters. The downpipes are also available separately: the 400-cell catted pipes keep the catalytic converter and give a deeper tone with more audible turbo sound, the free flow race pipes have no catalytic converter and are intended exclusively for use on a closed circuit. With that version the engine management will log a fault, so a CEL module or software adjustment is recommended.

Installation

The system fits the factory mounting points and you can always go back to stock. Because of the complexity of the design, we strongly recommend installation by a specialist. To suppress a check engine light with a high-flow setup we recommend the Novitec Tectronic module, which must be ordered separately from Novitec.

Frequently asked questions

How are the valves controlled?
The system has vacuum valves with an included controller, with factory-like operation and behaviour.
Are the catalytic converters kept?
Yes with the 400-cell catted downpipes. The race free flow front pipes and the free flow race pipes have no catalytic converter; the free flow race pipes are intended exclusively for a closed circuit.
Can I go back to stock later?
Yes. The system fits the factory mounting points and you can always go back to stock.
What is included with the cat-back?
The valved rear section with X-pipe, vacuum valves with controller, titanium exhaust tips, and clamps and mounting hardware. For a high flow setup we recommend the Novitec Tectronic module to prevent a check engine light; it is not included and is ordered separately from Novitec.
