BMW X3M/X4M (F97/F98) Valved Sport Exhaust System

Valvetronic Designs built a valved exhaust system for the BMW X3M and X4M that changes the character of the S58. Performance goes up, you stay in control of the sound and you choose between two sound profiles.

Sound and control

The single midpipe reproduces the S58 raw and unprocessed, with a deeper and more aggressive tone that is crisper and louder. Flow and throttle response improve noticeably. The equal length resonated version balances the exhaust pulses, so uneven frequencies disappear and what is left is an even, motorsport-like tone that recalls European supercars. The valves tie into the factory M1 and M2 modes, so the drive mode switches them along with it.

• Brushed T304 stainless steel for strength and corrosion resistance, or Grade 5 titanium for the lowest weight and a sharper tone
• Titanium available in the burnt gold and purple finish
• Full cat-back, the entire section behind the catalytic converters comes out
• Fully mandrel bent tubing and TIG welds

Fitment and homologation

This system fits the BMW X3M with chassis code F97 and the BMW X4M with chassis code F98, built from 2020 through 2023, and both models get the same cat-back.
