Universal Valved Muffler Kit

Loud when you want it, quiet when you need it. This universal muffler kit from Valvetronic Designs gives any car a valved exhaust that you operate with a remote.

Sound and control

The muffler has multiple chambers, so that with the valves closed it stays calm. The muffler also holds a resonance chamber that filters the rough frequencies out of the exhaust gas, so that inside you hear the sound you want to hear and not the drone around it. The valves run on vacuum.

Fitment and homologation

This is a universal muffler, so it is not tuned to one car. The sizes run from 2.5 to 5.0 inch, with a single inlet and outlet, a single inlet with dual outlet or the T style version. Check for yourself before ordering whether the size and the shape fit your exhaust, because that is the responsibility of the buyer. Exhaust tips in chrome, burnt or black are only available with an inlet of 63 or 76 mm. They are not included and have to be ordered separately.

What's included

One or two valved mufflers, as ordered
A vacuum control unit that opens and closes the valves
Vacuum hose between the control unit and the mufflers
A power adapter for the cigarette lighter, which can also be hardwired
A remote with a key, and the RF signal can be programmed into a garage door opener

Installation

You install the mufflers like any other muffler, which requires welding, and after that you connect the vacuum hose to the valves and the control unit. Point the valve side to the rear, because that gives the largest difference between open and closed. An installation video is available and the kit comes with a one year warranty.
